House of Glass Gallery did not begin as a business. It began as an instinct.

Glass has always held a particular fascination for me — there is something almost alchemical in watching it move: molten, luminous, shaped by hand into something permanent. Years ago, that fascination became a quiet habit. I started an Instagram page simply to gather the glass work that caught my eye, with no strategy or ambition beyond an appreciation I wanted to keep close.

When I returned to it in June 2026, I began to consider how this sustained attention could serve a wider purpose: creating meaningful connections between the artists shaping contemporary glass, the designers and architects seeking the right work for a space, and collectors looking for something distinctive.

That idea became House of Glass Gallery.

I am Olga Lilova, founder and curator of House of Glass Gallery. Based in Bratislava, Slovakia, the gallery has an international focus, presenting selected artists and contemporary glass practices from across different countries and contexts.

My professional background in international sales and client relations has shaped an attentive, structured, and responsive way of working. It informs how I listen to a brief, identify priorities, coordinate communication, and guide each enquiry from its initial direction towards a considered selection of artists and works.

My curatorial approach is grounded in close observation, careful research, and sustained engagement with contemporary glass. Artists are selected for the originality of their artistic language, the quality of their craftsmanship, and the distinct perspective they bring to the medium.

Rather than presenting objects in isolation, House of Glass Gallery provides curatorial context — exploring the ideas, processes, and material qualities that shape contemporary glass, from sculptural works to pieces created in dialogue with architecture, light, and space.
